Celebrate Chester

The First Selectwoman, the Merchants of Chester and the ReOpen Chester committee invite all Chester residents and families to Celebrate Chester!!

Come enjoy our shiny, brand new downtown and partake in free, family friendly and safe activities from 1-5pm on Saturday Sept 26th. (There is no rain date for this event).

Events will be held on Main Street in the village center (closed to traffic), and in walking distance from all scheduled activities from 1-5pm, followed by a concert at the Mettinghouse at 5:30pm. (Free tickets are required for the concert and are available on Eventbrite)

Enjoy, frisbee golf, informational talks, guided and self-guided tours, live music, art and craft projects, and drawings for gift cards and goodies and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Downtown shops and restaurants will be offering specials for the afternoon too!

This is a local event for Chester, by Chester and we ask that you invite your friends and neighbors that are Chester residents only.

Masks are required at all times and we remind you to stay aware of keeping socially distanced during all activities. We will also be following the state mandate limiting the size of gatherings, so if downtown gets too crowded, you have lots of activities to do within walking distance!
