Chester - Hadlyme Ferry

Selden III, a ferry that crosses the scenic Connecticut River near Gillette Castle State Park, carries 8 to 9 cars per trip. The trip is approximately 5 minutes and is ADA compliant.

The Chester Meetinghouse

In March 1972, the Old Town Hall was listed on the National Register for Historic Sites. Since that time the Meeting House has been used extensively for town meetings and public hearings, the Historical Society-sponsored Robbie Collomore Music Series, theatrical performances of the Meeting House Players, and much more.

This functional art installation, created by local artists Christopher Owens and Caryn Paradis, The Wish Booth was built from all recycled materials by Christopher and installed in the Village to co-inside with the star-lighting on Dec 2nd. We invite you to step inside and make a wish to the universe!
